David and Tonya Liles were apporved as BBFI missionaries to Peru in 1994. They were both raised in Christian homes and came to know Christ personally at an early age. They are both missionary kids. Davids parents, Ken and Carrie Liles are former missionaries to Iran and currently serve as missionaries in Restricted Access Nations. Tonya’s parents, Oliver and Gloria Williams have been missionaries to Peru since 1970. David and Tonya are graduates of the Missions program at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.
David and Tonya first met when they were teenagers at a missionary retreat. They were married seven years later after they had both graduated from college and David had finished Seminary. They have been married since 1991 and have three children, Cailie, Garrett, and Brianna.
Their missionary ministry is multi-faceted with an emphasis on church planting. Other areas of ministry include the development of a discipleship process and materials, a summer camp ministry, teaching at the Bible Baptist Seminary of Lima, and a marriage and family ministry.
The Liles are currently enjoying their third missionary term serving in the capital city of Lima.
